What is Thai Massage?

Thai Bodywork is believed to have been developed by Jivaka Kumar Bhaccha,  physician to Buddha, more than 2,500 years ago in India.  The therapist uses their hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga stretches.  Many people say Thai massage is like doing yoga without any work.  Also included in the treatment are gentle compression along the energy meridians, joint mobilization and acupressure.

Thai bodywork is usually done on a padded mat on the floor but can be modified to a chair or table.  A typical massage ranges from 60 -120 minutes.

Benefits:  Relaxation, stress reduction, improved circulation, increased energy, increased flexibility and range of motion, centering of the mind and body.

I am certified through the Lotus Palm School of Thai Massage.

Introductory rate:  $50/ 90 minutes.
